Our History… so far
People ask us all the time about the history of our restaurant. What’s our story? I tell it often because this isn’t a business with multiple investors, grand opening budgets, pricy interior designers, or any of the other conventional trappings of a restaurant with ambition. What’s our ambition?
It’s the culmination of 14 plus years of learning all the hard lessons about the restaurant industry.
We’ve followed our passion and built on what we have learned, all on a shoestring budget. When you leave a city and come back to it you are able to see things from a fresh perspective and see more clearly all it has to offfer. We have a passion for showcasing the quality of all that is local and that makes it an easy sell for us. Part of the charm of Rino’s Kitchen is that our customers come to know not only us but our farmers, winemakers, brewers, and producers. At Rino’s, you can know the names of the people who grew your food, brewed your beer, or bottled your wine. From time to time, you can even meet them at the restaurant. We want Rino’s Kitchen to be a comfortable place for our customers to experience that quality from their own perspective, a comfortable neighbourhood gathering place where we celebrate all the best of Windsor/Essex together.
